Neil and Landis Roberts are from Rockville Maryland but have been vacationing on the Outer Banks for many years. Now that they were grandparents, the Roberts decided it was time for a place of their own for their family vacations. They had recently purchased a lot in Chicahauk and were ready to build, but hadn’t yet decided on a floor plan. General contractor John White presented them with a design that had recently won Stan White Realty the Parade of Homes People’s Choice Award. The unique layout, curb appeal and amount of natural light the plan offered was just what the Roberts were looking for. With five bedrooms, five and a half baths, and over 3,000 heated square feet, the design had plenty of room for their growing family. After a few tweaks to the original plans, construction broke ground in April, 2009.
Landis, a floral designer, had impeccable taste when making material selections. Neil, an attorney, was the perfect balance to Landis’ aesthetic focus and worked with us to make sure the project proceeded on schedule and on budget. The couple made a great team and, because of that, will always be remembered as some of Stan White Realty’s most memorable clients. Working with the Roberts was a pleasure from start to finish and the end result was a beautiful home that both the Roberts family and Stan White Realty take much pride in.
